Sadly, we will soon have to say bye bye to our fantastic intern Siwei.Siwei return to China at the end of this week after a very successful academic period of study and work experience in the UK.
Siwei joined us as part of a advanced language programme after completing her MSc in financial engineering. In her own words, this is what she's been up to:
Hello, my name is Siwei Dai and I come from China.
I am a student in the university of Reading and will graduate in November with an MSc. Prior to returning to China, I wanted to enrich my working experience during my postgraduate in UK. Luckily, I found one job with Mike in the Services Family.
It is interesting work and I am happy to be a part of the team. My main work is to construct a financial model to analyse the data we will use in the bespoke credit score system they are designing. Also, I collect and process data and think about how to use it using the statical analysis programs I was taught in my Economics degree.
During my time with Services Family at the NatWest Boost HQ in Angel, I attended a few entrepreneurs workshops which will help to improve my skills; such as leadership.
Mike also takes me to visit some places such as the busy streets and museums of London to learn about local culture and we have tasted lots of various foods from different countries. In short, it is an interesting working experience in UK!
Good Luck Siwei and Thank You!
Our intern model is to fully engage interns in our business and learn from them as well as provide an exciting and rewarding experience.
Later this year, we hope to engage two new interns, from the US, who specialise in digital marketing to help deliver our customer engagement plan to best effect. By providing a bounded and deliverable project, it provides them with both experience and a plus for their CV.
We've also completed our re-application to NatWest Boost - we'll be benefiting from their support beyond mid-Sep.
Thanks NatWest ;-), it is fantastic to be surrounded by so many talented people starting their own businesses.
